May 2017 – Persante Health Care (Mt. Laurel, NJ) is proud to partner with the College of Health Sciences, University of Delaware (Newark, DE). Through this partnership, Persante's hospital client will conduct in-lab sleep studies for participants in the University of Delaware's STAR Quit study.
The STAR Quit study will determine whether standard smoking cessation treatment can be improved with a multi-modal sleep intervention targeting sleep duration and insomnia symptoms. Participants will complete a pre-treatment overnight in-lab sleep study as part of an eligibility assessment through Persante's hospital client sleep center, and six individual sleep and smoking cessation counseling sessions over the 15-week treatment period.
Persante is honored to be a part of this innovative research in hopes to help many patients with health implications including sleep disorders due to smoking.
